![]() Otherwise you may find that your time to go outlet shopping is cut in half because of the inadequate staffing at Johnny’s. I recommend that traveler’s bypass Johnny’s for breakfast. Our breakfast experience turned into simple consumption of food as opposed to enjoying a meal because we were feeling both frustrated as well as anxious to get out of that diner. By the time the food arrived, we had lost our appetites, which was unfortunate because the food was good. To say it was a nerve-racking, stressful, or hellacious dining experience is an understatement. Thus we'd been in the diner for nearly an hour with a three-year old boy before we actually got to eat. After we ordered, we waited another 45 minutes for our food. (This was only after I informed the hostess that we were still waiting). Although we were seated quickly, it took nearly ten minutes for a waitress to surface to take our order. I wish the same could be said of the service we received for breakfast at Johnny’s. We received quick service from the bartender/server, the burgers were great, and the music was pretty neat too. We were seated in the sports bar section. ![]() While we missed traditional suppertime, we had no trouble getting a table a Johnny Rockets at well after 9p.m. Regardless of that, we spent so much time in the water park on our first night that nearly four-hours and suppertime passed by without a blink. Not being able to see anything is quite scary. Neither my husband nor my son liked this ride. The only lowlight I can report on was the family tube ride that takes riders through the pitch black water tunnel at pretty fast speeds. The water park far exceeded my expectations in terms amusement, striking a good balance between kid and parent friendly areas. Being that he can't swim yet, he had no choice but to ride in the tube with my husband and I hence the time to relax. The lazy river was a great place to relax (chasing a three-year old around is tiring work). He was overwhelmed and scared on both the blue and green slide (no double riding, so he had to go by himself). However, he had a blast! He tried out all of the water slides on the Tree house being just tall enough for them. I worried that the park would be geared toward older children. This was our first mini-vacation, aside from camping, so I was skeptical about whether my son would be ready. were engaging and fun for my son and for us alike. The features of the park from the lazy river, wading pool, slides, and water squirters/blasters etc. The water park was totally awesome (I realize I sound like a Valley girl). We headed quickly to our room, changed into our swimsuits (which I packed on the top), and headed straight to the water park, just a quick elevator ride away. ![]() The ladies at the counter were friendly, speedy, and polite. My husband, three-year-old son, and I stayed three-days, two-nights. Our experience at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge was an excellent one.
